FAQ's

Who are the babysitters and how are they screened?

Our Anchored Hearts have amazing dedicated babysitters that have all passed our high standards. All babysitters are interviewed in person and have passed a background check and have a clean driving record. The babysitters have a minimum of 2 years of verified experience or professional training and are First Aid/CPR certified.

Can I talk to my babysitter before they arrive?

Your babysitter will contact you before their scheduled arrival. We can also provide you with a picture and biography by request.

Can I request the same babysitter each time?

Of course! We will do our best to arrange the same babysitter each time. Please provide as much notice as possible to help arrange the same babysitter. We can never guarantee that the same will be available each time, so it is recommended to use 2-3 babysitters.

Do I always need to reserve babysitters through Our Anchored Hearts?

Yes, all reservations must be booked directly with Our Anchored Hearts. The babysitters have agreed to not work for any client (or third party) outside of Our Anchored Hearts. The babysitters respect their jobs and agreements, we hope you will too.

When should I reserve my babysitter?

Please provide as much notice as possible. Last minute reservations (less than 24 hours) are based on availability. We suggest scheduling your babysitter at least 15 minutes before you must leave.

What if I need a babysitter for less than 4 hours?

There is a non-negotiable 4-hour minimum.

What is the cancellation policy?

If the Client cancels within 24 hours of making the reservation the agency reservation fee will not be refunded-refunded. If the Client cancels within 24 hours of the reservation's start time, the 4-hour minimum babysitter hourly rate will be charged. Any additional hours will not be charged. The agency reservation, any additional fees, are all non-refundable.

What if I have a change of plans and need to reschedule?

Please contact us directly to let us know as soon as possible, with at least 24-hours’ notice.

How will the babysitter be paid?

After the shift, we will confirm the time you returned and pay your babysitter on your behalf.

Am I supposed to tip my babysitter?

Tipping is appreciated, but not expected. If you are satisfied with your babysitter’s services, 18%-25% is typical. The babysitter’s prefer gratuity to be given in cash, however we can add a tip to your babysitter's pay.
